Beijing South Railway Station

Beijing South Railway Station is the starting station of Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Railway and Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway. The overall acreage is 499,200m2 and built-up area is 309,400m2 with a station building area of 252,000m2. As a large transport hub integrated with railway, subway, bus and other transports, Beijing South Railway Station was selected as "Top Ten Modern Architectures of Beijing". The station building was commenced on January 28th, 2006, and open to traffic on August 1st, 2008.
