Standards and Regulations

TSDI took the lead in the compiling 24 national and industrial specifications and standards, in which two are national standards, 22 are industrial standards. The main standards are listed as follow:
 
Code for Design of High Speed Railway (Trial Version) is a railway industrial standard. It was put into use on December 1, 2009. It applies to high-speed railway design of passenger dedicated line with operation speed of 250 -350km/h. This regulation is currently revising, while draft version is submitted to a higher authority for approval and to be published.
 
Code for Design of Intercity Railway is railway industrial standard. It applies to intercity railway of passenger train with a design speed of 250km and below. This regulation is submitted to a higher authority for approval.
 
Code for Design of Heavy-haul Railway is a railway industrial standard. It applies to heavy-haul railway design of freight locomotive and rolling stock with axle load more than/equal to 250 KN; traction tonnage more than/equal to 10000t, as well as design operation speed equal to/ smaller than 100km/h for heavy-haul freight locomotive; design operation speed equal to/ smaller than 120km/h for other freight locomotive. This regulation is currently revising, while the draft version is submitted to a higher authority for approval.
 
Code for Design of Railway Passenger Station Buildings is a national standard. It was published on June 22, 2007, and put into use on December 1, 2007. It applies to architecture design of newly railway passenger station building. This regulation is currently revising, while the request for proposal is completed.
Standard for Basic Terms of Railway Engineering is a national standard. It was put into use on October 1, 1997. It applies to planning, survey, design, engineering, acceptance and inspection of railway construction. It contains basic technical terminology in railway construction. This regulation is currently revising, while the draft version is submitted to a higher authority for approval.
