BIM standard compiled by TSDI published Symbolized one big step forward for China railway BIM internationalization

 
Recently, Railway Construction Information Model Data Storage Standard (1.0 Version) compiled by TSDI was published on Railway Technology InnovationMagazine in January 2016. Subsequently, on the spring summit of buildingSMART, translation of this standard is confirmed to be published as the PAS ofbuildingSMART. This gesture can be seen as the milestone of China railway BIM internationalization, which symbolized as one big step forward for China railway BIM internationalization.

 

Railway Construction Information Model Data Storage Standard (1.0 Version) covers eight specialties including railway line, track, subgrade, bridge, tunnel, station and yard, drainage, geology. This standard aims at information storage of multi-platform , multi-applications in railway BIM application. Publish of this standard has significant guidance and impact on railway BIM software development, railway BIM application standard compilation and railway BIM technology application research. It can promote effective sharing of relevant information in railway construction life cycle and between all participants, which can improve working quality and efficiency of railway planning, design, construction, and operation maintenance.

 

buildingSMART International (bSI) is a neutralinternational, independent, non-profitorganization aiming at servicing BIM LCC. This organization was set up in 1994, has sub-branches in North America, Europe, Australia, Asia and other countries in mid-east Asia, made tremendous contribution of global BIM technology development, had important influence in international architecture informatization field.buildingSMART regulation is approved and published by bSI. By using this format, the achievement of railway BIM data storage has silicified Chinas important role in railway BIM international standard compilation. Also, it can appeal to more colleagues, collect supplementary opinion, improve the adaptability of Chinese railway BIM standard, so that laying a better foundation for it upgrading as an international standard.
